Unlocking Potential: The Role of Psychological Testing in Child Development
We help families in Columbus, OH thrive emotionally and mentally by providing expert psychological services and fostering a supportive community environment.
OUR MISSION
At Resilient Children & Families (RCF), our central mission is to deliver expert psychological services to children, youth, adults, and families. We give special attention to underserved, underrepresented, and underprivileged communities and populations.
Our efforts extend beyond treatment; we actively work to dismantle stigmas associated with mental health while emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion by increasing access to culturally diverse practitioners.
OUR VISION
Our vision is a future where specialized psychological services are not only provided but are universally accessible to all individuals. We aim to break down barriers in disadvantaged communities, transcending socio-economic status, ethnicity, race, skin color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability differences, and other potential impediments to quality care.
Through our unwavering commitment, we envision a world where mental health support is inclusive, enabling everyone to thrive irrespective of background or circumstance.
OUR SERVICES
Psychological Testing/ Evaluation
A psychological evaluation, much like a detective seeking clues to solve a mystery, involves the use of norm-referenced testing instruments. Administered by a psychologist or a well-trained professional under supervision, these tests help identify and address specific concerns or questions tailored to you or your loved one's needs.
Individual / Family Therapy
Individual psychotherapy, often known as 'talk therapy,' encompasses diverse approaches to enhance socio-emotional and behavioral well-being. Typically starting with an intake session between a licensed mental health professional and the individual, therapy structures vary—individual therapy involves one-on-one sessions, while family therapy includes the individual, family members, and a trained professional.
Respite Care Program
Experience our RCP program, providing weekend respite services in brief, three-hour block sessions for children facing autism or significant emotional and behavioral challenges.
